On March 22, the French developer and publisher Ubisoft announced the opening of two new divisions. One will appear in Ukraine, and the second in India. Both will be engaged in the creation of AAA projects.

Ubisoft already has offices in these countries. It’s about the Kiev studio and the one that is located in the city of Pune. According to the company, “the new studios will strengthen its position in these regions and will contribute to the development of the video game industry in Ukraine and India.”

This year marks 10 years since the company opened offices in India and Ukraine. The opening of studios in Mumbai and Odessa will expand Ubisoft's activities in these countries.

Adrian Serbanescu, the studio manager in Kiev, will oversee the work of the studio in Odessa. Ubisoft Odessa will join the group of divisions responsible for the creation and support of the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series.

Jean-Philippe Piosho, who is the managing director of the studio in Pune, is responsible for the new office in Mumbai. What specific project Ubisoft Mumbai will do is not reported, but they are talking about a console AAA project.

Ubisoft is going to attract 160 specialists to both studios over the next two years.
