British gamers will spend $4.5 billion this year, Newzoo predicts. In terms of revenue, the country’s gaming market ranks sixth in the world.

The population of the UK is 65.6 million people, of which 37.3 million play games.

There are more male players than women on all platforms. On mobile, this difference is insignificant, only 1%, and on PC and consoles it exceeds 10%.

The majority of paying gamers in the country have spent money on in-game purchases in the last six months.

But gaming video content is watched by only 31% of British Internet users.

Among those who are aware of esports, only 6% watch matches regularly. Interestingly, the favorite esports discipline of the British is not League of Legends or FIFA, but the Rocket League football and racing simulator.
