According to the estimates of the analytical company Newzoo, Taiwan’s gaming market ranks 15th in the world in terms of revenue. Local gamers will spend about $1.3 billion this year.

The population of Taiwan is 23.5 million people, of which 14.5 play games.

There are more male gamers in Taiwan than women. But this gap is noticeable only among console and dextop owners. Men and women launch mobile games at least once a month approximately equally: 67% and 65% of the total number of players, respectively.

Most players who make purchases in games spend money on in-game items. Only a third of players buy power-ups: 32% of men and 30% of women.

Almost half of the Taiwanese who use the Internet watch video content dedicated to games. Of those who know about esports, 12% regularly watch relevant videos and broadcasts. Most of all, Taiwanese esports fans are interested in League of Legends.
