There is an ongoing decline in the market for virtual and augmented reality headsets, reports the analytics company IDC. They found that in the first quarter of 2024, 67.4% fewer VR/AR headsets were sold compared to the beginning of 2023.

In 2023, gamers from all over the world will spend about $ 194 billion on video games, analysts predict data.ai and IDC. Of this amount, $108 billion will be spent on games for mobile devices.

Meta Quest 2 continues to hold the title of the best-selling VR headset in the world. IDC has estimated that 14.8 million people have bought the device since its release in October 2020.
