In the fourth quarter of last year alone, 2.48 million devices were sold in Russia, and last year Russians purchased 8.58 million tablets,” IDC reports.

In money, the market did not grow so significantly – by 66.8% to $2.77 billion. 

Android tablets accounted for 80.2% of the market, iOS accounted for 16%, and Windows accounted for the remaining 2.6%. 

The presented data almost do not differ in percentage terms from those previously shared by Euroset and Svyaznoy, but they differ seriously in terms of specific figures. Russian retail chains had slightly more cautious estimates.
