The appearance of the Halo series on Steam caused a stir among desktop gamers. Sales of the PC-collection Halo: Master Chief Collection to date — more than 1 million copies.
Halo: Master Chief Collection is published in parts. The first released game was Halo: Reach, which was released on December 3. On Steam Database, its peak online and, most importantly, sales are attributed to the entire collection at once. According to these data, now the entire collection is owned by 1 million to 2 million people.
The peak online collection at the time of the release of Halo: Reach was 161 thousand people. The game has mostly positive reviews in the store. Such a warm welcome, as well as sales of the entire collection, speak about the popularity of the famous Xbox franchise among PC users.
The next ones after Halo: Reach in the collection are Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. Their release dates on Steam are not yet known.
In 2001, this series was launched by Bungie studio, which also created Destiny. 343 Industries has already worked on the last parts of Halo. The key titles of the franchise were released only on Xbox, but in March of this year, the publisher Microsoft announced the release of the collection on PC.
Note that the next game, Halo Infinite, will be launched in 2020 immediately on Xbox, PC and the new Project Scarlett console.
