The lead producer of Halo Infinite has left 343 Industries. She has been in this position for no more than two months. In addition, this is the second dismissal from the project managers in recent months.

Mary Olson became the lead producer of the new Halo in August of this year. At the same time, Tim Longo, the creative director of the same game, left 343 Industries.

According to Olson’s LinkedIn, she moved to Midwinter Entertainment. It was in this studio that another developer associated with the Halo series left three years ago: this is Josh Holmes, creative director of Halo 4.

According to Windows Central, Olson’s departure was not officially announced at first. But yesterday, the manager of the 343 Industries community on Reddit confirmed her departure. He also stated that there is no need to fear for Halo Infinite and dismissal is not a sign of problems in the studio or on the project. According to him, Olson did not exercise creative control over the game instead of Longo.

Halo Infinite is being prepared for release at the end of 2020. This is the first officially announced game for the new Microsoft console — Project Scarlett.
