Microsoft Corporation officially announced the next—generation console – Scarlett at E3, and also shared the first details about it.
So far, not much is known about the console:
- Scarlett will hit the market at the end of 2020 — during the “Christmas period”;
- it will support the playback of games in 8K resolution and will be able to play them at 120 frames per second;
- The console will be 4 times more powerful than the Xbox One X, which today is considered the most powerful console on the market in terms of hardware;
- will support real-time retrace;
- the console will have a new generation SSD;
- the engineers of the new console say that Scarlett’s power will allow developers to abandon loading screens in open-world games;
- The first officially announced game for the new console was Halo Infinite.
The design of the device was not presented as part of the announcement. Also, its price was not sounded.
