A week ago, Valve updated the social functionality of the Steam platform, making it somewhat similar to the online gaming messenger Discord. On June 21, Discord also released an update that allows you to launch games through clients, as well as follow the news and events of friends, which, in turn, brought its capabilities closer to the Valve service.

The new Discord Games Tab section combines information from several sources. It integrates with Steam, Origin and other gaming services, adding shortcuts to its interface to launch titles from user libraries. Also, Games Tab allows you to see the activity of friends, watch their matches in spectator mode, invite them to a network game, and so on.

Discord Games Tab can also be linked to the Spotify music platform and share your favorite tracks with your friends.
