Microsoft has allowed developers of Windows applications to take 100% of their revenue when using third-party payment systems. However, the company later clarified that it was only about software, and the authors of the games would still have to pay a commission.Microsoft confirmed this information to The Verge.

The story with commissions launched by Epic Games continues to gain momentum. This time in the role of the “destroyer of tranquility” — Microsoft. The company announced that from August 1, the commission of the Windows Store app store will decrease from 30% to 12%. This will only affect games.

App Annie company announced that it has started indexing applications for Windows 8 devices. So far, however, the functionality is in beta stage. 

Yesterday, the app store for Windows 8-based devices reached the mark of 20 thousand applications.
