Recently, Playground Games announced the decision to delist Forza Horizon 4 from online stores. The racing game will no longer be available for sale starting December 15. The announcement shook the community, resulting in the game’s peak online player count on Steam reaching record levels.

A group of Playground Games veterans led by Mike Brown, the former creative director of the Forza Horizon series, has launched its own game development studio. She has already attracted the first investments (their size is not disclosed) and has started developing the debut AAA open-world game for PC and consoles.

Although Playground Games has not officially announced a new achievement of the racing game, you can see the statistics in the leaderboard inside Forza Horizon 5 itself.

Age of Empires IV has lost its lead in the Steam bestseller chart — last week the game dropped to the second line of the rating. Instead, the best-selling title was Forza Horizon 5, which is scheduled for release on November 9.

As part of the presentation at E3, Microsoft announced the doubling of the number of internal studios. She bought four previously independent companies, and also launched another subsidiary in Santa Monica.

Known for the Forza racing series, Playground Games has hired game designers who worked on GTA V, Metal Gear Solid and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
