Purchases of video ads for mobile platforms for the 2nd quarter of 2017 increased by 142% compared to the previous quarter. This has made mobile video advertising the fastest growing format among other types of ads.
Such data is provided in the quarterly report on mobile advertising trends prepared by the analytical company Smaato.
Full-screen video inserts turned out to be the most popular type of video advertising – they accounted for about two—thirds of the total amount spent on advertising.
Rewarded video advertising showed the best growth dynamics in the last quarter, spending on which increased by 74% in 3 months.
