The Finnish company Rovio has signed a multi-year contract with the Liverpool football club Everton to apply the symbols of the Angry Birds franchise to the team uniform.
The name-the Angry Birds logo is placed on the left sleeve of the T-shirts of the club members.
In the new form, Everton managed to play one match against Manchester United, losing the fight with a score of 0:4.
Everton and Rovio hope that the deal will open up marketing opportunities for both companies.
For example, Rovio gets the right to use the club’s symbols, players and stadium as game content for future projects.
Rovio is not the first mobile developer to sign a contract with a professional football club in England.
In May of this year, a similar deal with the Stoke City team was signed by the Serbian studio Nordeus, known for its mobile collectible card MOBA Spellsouls.
