The Finnish company Rovio has published a three-in-a-row Angry Birds Match puzzle for its flagship franchise. The shareware game is available on iOS and Android from August 30.

Colleagues from gaming publications who have tried out the new title note that Angry Birds Match is a high—quality, but devoid of any innovations, mobile game.

At the same time, Angry Birds Match became the first three-in-a-row game in the Angry Birds franchise, developed and published by Rovio.

Released in 2016 three-in-a-row Angry Birds Blast was developed by Shanghai studio Mybo Games, and the puzzle Angry Birds Fight! 2015 became a joint project of Rovio and Japanese game studio KITERETSU Inc.

The release of Angry Birds Match indicates the increased interest of Rovio in the audience of match games, fueled by the commercial success of Angry Birds Blast, which is one of the three most profitable games of the company.
