On June 11, at 23.00 Moscow time, Ubisoft launched a presentation at E3. She did without a large number of announcements. At the same time, it cannot be called disappointing. The French did not skimp on CG trailers, product details and gameplay demonstrations of upcoming products. About the most interesting — in our material.

A year ago, Ubisoft’s performance turned out to be one of the central ones due to the general touchiness, the presentation of a tactical strategy for Nintendo and, first of all, the announcement of Beyond Good & Evil 2.

This time we decided not to change the key. It was touching in some places, for shareholders they showed close work with Nintendo and active development of a new Beyond Good & Evil, and at the same time announced a new Assassin’s Creed. But about everything in order.

Beyond Good & Evil 2

There are still very few details about the new product. So far, the company is ready to share only a demonstration of gameplay elements from pre-alpha. But there is a new gorgeous video in which they show that the main character of the first part, Jade, will appear in the game.

But the most curious thing about the presentation was something else. Previously, Ubisoft has already announced that it is launching the Space Monkey Program. The essence of the latter is that the development team of Beyond Good & Evil 2 encourages writers, musicians and artists to send their content for the game. Now it has been announced that HITRECORD, which specializes in organizing such collaborations at the user level, has become a partner of the program.

Simply put, Beyond Good & Evil 2 will have user generated content. And the authors will be paid royalties for it.

Division 2

Two new videos were shown, but this time there was no presentation of the gameplay. It was sufficiently demonstrated as part of the Microsoft presentation. You can write down Ubisoft as a plus, since Bethesda showed the same trailer as on the Xbox platform stage.

The greatest interest from the b2b point of view is now monetization. The paid-for project will regularly receive DLC, which are positioned as episodes. Each one has new stories, new locations and new “activities”. In the first year after the release, three episodes will be released. They will be free. But whether this will apply to further releases is unclear.

Skull & Bones

The project about pirates Ubisoft announced a year ago at the last E3. Then there were no details about the project. This time, the company was not generous with them either, but showed a staged battle in the game.

For now, we can only say with confidence that this is not World of Warships in the Indian Ocean. Also, the Singapore office of Ubisoft understands exactly what it will be able to earn in the game on customization.

For Honor

The game about the battles of medieval warriors does not succeed in repeating the fate of Rainbow Six Siege, which turned from an outsider into a title with an audience of 35 million people. But Ubisoft does not lose hope. She announced a large-scale addition with a new side (in addition to Vikings, samurai and knights there will be Chinese fighters) and a new mode.

Wanting to attract new traffic, she also announced that the starter pack For Honor will be distributed for free for a week. Whether it will be able to return the game big online will be possible to follow on GitHyp.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

The main announcement of the presentation is the showing of Assassin’s Creed, which has been in development for three years in the setting of Ancient Greece. The most important thing that sounded from the stage is that the game is now openly positioned as an RPG — with the choice of a character for the game and the availability of answer options in the dialogues.
