The Russian Olympic team will be able to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics under the national flag. However, we are talking only about the virtual version of international competitions presented in the Road to the Olympics add-on for Ubisoft’s Steep sports simulator.
According to Ubisoft, the company does not plan to remove the national team of our country from the expansion, despite the suspension of Russian athletes from real competitions by the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Recall that the IOC did not allow the Russian national team to participate in the Olympics because of the scandal related to the systematic use of doping and the concealment of the results of doping tests at the Olympic Games in Sochi four years ago.
Nevertheless, a number of Russian athletes can still go to the competitions in South Korean Pyeongchang under a neutral flag.
