Developer Supercell will host the first Clash of Clans World Championship. Esports players will be able to compete for a prize fund of $ 1 million this fall.
According to VentureBeat, ESL, the organizer of the ESL One Hamburg tournament, is a partner in the competition. Within its framework, the Supercell World Championship will be held. Interestingly, the prize fund of the main event of ESL One Hamburg — Dota 2 competitions — is three times less than at the Clash of Clans championship.
Note that in parallel, the arena will host a tournament on the new Valve autobattler — Dota Underlords. This is reported by Esports Insider.
The Clash of Clans World Championship tournament will be held on October 25-27 in Hamburg. The venue is Barclaycard Arena. Eight teams of players who have honed their skills in Clash of Clans for more than seven years will compete on it. According to a Clash of Clans representative, this is the first esports competition of this scale in the history of Clash of Clans.
