The creator of the Twisted Metal and God of War franchises, David Jaffe, announced the cancellation of a project that his studio, The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, was working on. He also announced the dismissal of most of the employees of the gaming division.
Jaffe wrote about it on his Twitter, noting that he wanted to report the bad news personally. He did not name the reasons for this decision. Judging by his further tweets, the studio is waiting for closure.
It is unknown which game was developed by The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency.
The studio’s previous title, the multiplayer action game Drawn to Death, was released last April on PlayStation 4. The game received mixed reviews from gamers and critics and scored 56 out of 100 points on the aggregator Metacritic.
