At the PlayStation 5 Showcase, Sony named not only the price tags for the next generation, but also announced an important component of its PlayStation Plus subscription. Its users on the PS5 will have access to the line of hits of the previous generation of the console.
The declared library is not very large — there are 18 projects in it so far:
- God of War;
- Monster Hunter: World;
- Final Fantasy XV;
- Fallout 4;
- Mortal Kombat X;
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End;
- Ratchet & Clank (2016);
- Days Gone;
- Until Dawn;
- Detroit: Become Human;
- Battlefield 1;
- Infamous Second Son;
- Batman: Arkham Knight;
- The Last Guardian;
- The Last of Us Remastered;
- Persona 5;
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
There are no details about the new service yet. It is unknown whether this collection will be replenished over time, whether it is worth waiting for such a service in the future on PS4, and so on.
Anyway, now this announcement looks like an attempt by Sony to offer an analogue of the Xbox Game Pass on its new console.
