Sensor Tower mobile analytics service published a non-standard top following the results of the first quarter of 2019. It reveals which Russian mobile applications scored the largest number of downloads in the world in January-March. There was a place for games in this top.
The largest number of downloads turned out to be for Homescapes from Playrix. Three-in-a-row about home repairs collected about 30 million installations in three months. This is 88% more than in the same period a year earlier. The largest number of downloads was in the USA — 13%. Russia is in second place with 9%, and India is in third place with 8.4%.
Nuance. Playrix, although it was founded in Russia, where it still has its main production facilities, now positions itself as an international company. Its head office is registered in Ireland.
In second place in terms of downloads in the first quarter was also a game — Vegas Crime Simulator. This is one of the many projects of the Novosibirsk studio Naxeex, which regularly releases mobile sandboxes similar in gameplay, graphics and assets, characterized by low production quality. In January-March, the game was downloaded 23 million times (this is eight times more than a year earlier). About 38% of installations were in India.
In addition to Homescapes and Vegas Crime Simulator, the top 10 most downloaded mobile apps from Russia included four more games: Gardenscapes, Township, Modern Warplanes and Standoff 2. If the authorship of the first two also belongs to Playrix, then the Moscow GD Company is responsible for Modern Warplanes, and the Kazan Company is responsible for Standoff 2 Axlebolt.
In addition to the cumulative downloads from the App Store and Google Play, Sensor Tower presented charts broken down by stores. The picture is just below.
