The Russian company Playrix is not only the leading local publisher in terms of revenue from mobile projects in the CIS, but the number two at the box office in mid-September among all mobile game studios from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia.
App Annie told about this in its latest research, which also noted that as many as four gaming companies from Russia, the CIS and the Baltic states over the past twelve months “have outstripped global revenue growth rates.”
We are talking about the already mentioned Playrix, as well as Pixonic, Murka and Awem. The very top of the fastest-growing publishers in terms of revenue in this region looks like this:
“From the second quarter of 2015 to the second quarter of 2016, the revenues of Playrix and Pixonic increased at least four times, and the revenues of Murka – more than eight times,” App Annie notes.

Analysts explain the success of Playrix with three box office hits (Township, Fishdom and Gardenscapes), as well as the ability to earn money in the Asian market.
The income of Playrix is twice as much as that of the Dnieper Murka, which shot thanks to the slots – Scatter Slots and Infinity Slots.
Over the past year, Mogilev Awem was finally able to promote its blockbuster Cradle of Empires, which provided it with high incomes and made it one of the most earning companies from the CIS.
As for Pixonic, a year ago it was not even in the box office Top 12 in the region (Russia/CIS/Baltic states), and now – thanks to the rapid growth of War Robots indicators – it is ahead of mobile in terms of gaming revenue Mail.Ru Group.
Also in the study App Annie noted the company Game Insight. According to analysts, the “Natives” are now showing themselves perfectly on Android.
