Retention of 1.7 and 30 days in Android games is higher on average in Russia than in other regions of the world.

This is reported by the marketing agency in the study “Mobile Application Market: Russia”. Zorka.Mobi with reference to the data of the Adjust analytical platform.

For example, if in the USA and Canada the retention rate of the first day from organic in Android games, on average, is 33.25%, then in Russia it is already 42.97%. The difference is also noticeable on day 7 and on day 30.

However, this applies only to organics and only to the Android platform.

Paid traffic in games downloaded from Google Play on Day 7 in the USA and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), for example, shows higher rates, and retention in Russia from iOS games, in general, is either lower or on the same level as in other regions, as in the case of organic, and with paid traffic. The exception is the retention of the first day from organic.

With reference to CPA Conference and RIW analytics Zorka.Mobi they also cite the following figures for the Russian mobile games market:

  • 80% of the players are men;
  • 18% of players make purchases;
  • The average ARPU market in Russia is $4.9.

Starting from the data of the Prioridata service, the study also provides data on how much the top games in 2016 earned on iOS and Android in Russia.

For example, the iOS version of Clash Royale generated $ 2 million, and Subway Surfers only $32 thousand.

  • Rebound Mobile: $215 million
  • Newzoo: $523 million
  • GMGC: $699.3 million
