The French mobile publisher Gameloft has published financial results for 2017. According to the report, Gameloft Advertising Solutions’ own advertising network earned €36.3 million — 93% more than a year ago.
Company revenues
Gameloft’s total revenues in 2017 amounted to €258 million. In comparison with the previous year, the total revenue of the publishing house increased by € 1 million.
Within this amount, the company notes a 12% increase in revenue from the sale of games in stores.
Falling profits
Gameloft’s EBITDA profit was €4 million. This is 42% less than a year ago.
The decrease in profit is most likely due to the costs of launching and operating 10 new mobile titles, 6 of which were released in the first half of the year.
According to the company, in 2017, the average daily downloads of Gameloft products amounted to 2.5 million.
Audience and downloads
At the same time, audience activity indicators decreased over the year: DAU dropped from 16 to 15 million people, and MAU dropped from 136 to 128 million players.
According to his own statement, Gameloft is the largest mobile publisher in the world.
