The turnover of the gaming market in Russia will double in the next five years — from $2.2 billion to $4.8 billion By 2022, the gaming sector will overtake TV advertising in revenue and come in third place in the revenue structure of the Russian media and entertainment industry. According to the report, the gaming market in Russia will develop primarily thanks to casual and social games. The revenue of this sub-segment in 2017 amounted to $1.4 billion. Analysts suggest that by 2022, casual and social titles will generate $3.8 billion.

Video games will make up 14.5% of the total volume of the Russian entertainment and media industry, which will grow by 37.5% from $24 billion to $33 billion in the five-year term.
