Interested in Android and the American market? Focus on working with Amazon.

The other day we published a translation of the latest research from App Annie and IDC concerning the mobile games market. According to him, tablets from Amazon are the second most popular tablets in the States. Moreover, they lag behind the iPad quite slightly, unlike the “tablets” with Google Play “on board”.

Unfortunately, App Annie did not provide any data on revenue from each platform in this context, however, it is believed that conversion, ARPU and findability on the Amazon Appstore are significantly higher than on Google Play. Some companies claim that they get even more from this market, other things being equal, than from the App Store.

But this, of course, is only true if we are talking about the States. In addition, TinyCo, who said in 2012 that the ARPU on the Amazon Appstore is larger than on any other market, this year stated that the ARPU on the Nexus 7 is the largest when compared with the same indicator of other Android tablets.

However, the data from App Annie demonstrates a situation in which you should not forget about Amazon anyway.
