Electronic Arts has confirmed its intention to cut staff in a number of offices, including the company’s UK division.
The exact number of employees who have fallen under the reduction is unknown. The British gaming press rates it as “significant”.
The cuts will take place as part of the restructuring of the PR and marketing departments, for which EA is designing an international marketing center.
The new structure will be based at the company’s Geneva headquarters.
EA promised to provide all possible assistance to employees affected by the restructuring with transfer to other offices and “search for new opportunities within the company.”
