Crytek Founder Djevat Yerli is no longer CEO or president of the company. He put the leadership in the hands of his younger brothers – Avni Yerli and Farouk Yerli.
Dzhevat does not leave the company. He will continue to work at the Crytek head office as a “strategic shareholder”.
The reasons why he decided to leave the leadership, Dzhevat does not disclose. However, he notes in his address to the players that we are talking about a formal transfer of power. According to him, all the achievements of the company over the past two years are just the merit of Avni and Farook.

Recall that since 2014 the company has been experiencing financial problems.
They led to large-scale cuts in 2016, when five divisions were announced to be closed. Today Crytek has only two studios – in Frankfurt and in Kiev.
The news of the reshuffle in Crytek’s management came a week after the launch of the company’s first big game in four years, Hunt: Showdown, into early access.
Crytek is a German studio founded in 1999 by the Yerli brothers, who came from Turkey. The company’s first game was the shooter Far Cry. Today Crytek is primarily known as the developer of the Crysis series and the CRYENGINE engine.
