In January, the first episode of the indie shooter Bright Memory appeared on Steam. The author of the game no longer has enough funds to develop the rest of the game. To solve the problem, he will release Bright Memory on iOS and Android.
This month the game will appear in the App Store, and in November — in Google Play. Revenue from mobile sales will go primarily to turning the PC version of Bright Memory into a full-fledged game.
To do this, the developer, according to him, needs to sell about 100 thousand copies of the game for $ 7. Moreover, you will have to earn money on mobile outside your native China. Bright Memory has not received a license to publish there, writes Abacus.
About Bright Memory
FYQD studio is listed as the developer of Bright Memory. In fact, it consists only of Chinese game designer Zeng Xiancheng (Zeng Xiancheng).
The episode he released in early access received high ratings from users — mainly for the gameplay and visual effects. However, the entire episode contains no more than 40 minutes of content.
In addition, the author was convicted of stealing some of its elements. Xiancheng later apologized and replaced all the copied models.
Since then, he has changed his mind about releasing the game in an episodic format. Now he wants to develop it in its entirety and release it under the name Bright Memory: Infinity at the end of next year. He promises to demonstrate an excerpt from the new version at the GTC China event.
