Yesterday, on May 13, Amazon officially “put into circulation” the virtual currency Amazon Coins, announced back in February.
Virtual currency from Amazon can be spent both on app purchases in the Appstore and on IAP.
When buying Amazon Coins, certain discounts apply, and this applies even to small amounts. For example, at the moment, $4.5 is being asked for “coins” in the amount of $5. Fifty dollars will cost $45, and a hundred will cost $90.
When paying for applications and IAP in Amazon Coins, developers will receive the same 70% of income as when using regular money.
