The Finnish studio Rovio has released a mobile game Angry Birds Evolution for an older audience with references to pop culture and “adult humor”.
According to the developers, the new project should appeal to adult gamers who will appreciate cruel jokes and allusions to modern popular culture.
This approach differs from the harmless and family style in which the previous games of the series were made.
Angry Birds Evolution uses the mechanics of role-playing and strategy games with leveling up characters and discovering new abilities. In addition, players can create clans, compete with friends, and so on.
Angry Birds Evolution was released on iOS and Android on June 16.
