Ninja Theory reported for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. The year was successful for the studio, even though it did not release any games during that period.

On May 21, Ninja Theory released the psychological action game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II on Xbox Series and PC. According to the SteamDB service, the peak online count for the Steam version of the game on its debut day was 3,982 people.

Tameem Antoniades no longer works at Ninja Theory Studio, which he and two colleagues founded in 2000.

In court documents published as part of the hearings on the lawsuit of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against Microsoft, the cost of buying the Ninja Theory studio was disclosed. It amounted to $117 million.

As part of the presentation at E3, Microsoft announced the doubling of the number of internal studios. She bought four previously independent companies, and also launched another subsidiary in Santa Monica.
