The studio behind the Hellblade franchise has begun losing staff in the face of its potential closure. This has been widely reported by its employees on LinkedIn.

According to the posts by affected employees, layoffs have impacted various departments at Ninja Theory. Among those laid off were technical artists, sound designers, programmers, and other specialists. The exact number of people who have lost their jobs is unknown.

It should be noted that Ninja Theory ran into problems over the summer during the restructuring of Microsoft’s gaming division. In July, XBOX management officially announced plans to sell the studio, but a couple of months later, it became known that two deals had already fallen through. Amid this, top management did not rule out that instead of a sale, Ninja Theory might face closure, and the studio began the process of consulting about the potential disbandment of the team.

Ninja Theory's management did not comment on the staff's reports of layoffs.
