The Blackbird Interactive studio once again said goodbye to some of the employees. The layoffs became known shortly after she postponed the release of the Homeworld 3 space strategy from March 8 to May 13, 2024.

Yesterday, former employees of Blackbird Interactive reported on social networks about mass layoffs. Shortly after that, studio representatives confirmed in a media commentary that they had indeed reduced the staff.

In Blackbird Interactive, large-scale layoffs took place: more than 40 people were fired from the studio. The incident is reported by employees who are out of work.

On May 24, Focus Entertainment and Blackbird Interactive released Hardspace: Shipbreaker from early access, a game in which spaceships need to be disassembled into details. Since then, the simulator has managed to sell 500 thousand copies.
