The residents of Japan are actively purchasing the Switch version of Biomutant. In an interview with Automaton Media, publisher THQ Nordic revealed that the company had not anticipated such strong sales.

Embracer Group has prepared a report for the first fiscal quarter of 2021 (ended June 30). During this time, the company’s gaming sales have almost doubled and profits have increased by half. The main growth driver was the release of Biomutant and the purchase of Easybrain with Gearbox.

Biomutant is doing badly. The game lost 82.6% of the audience by the end of the first week of sales. And the number of simultaneous players continues to decrease.

The ambiguous reaction of the audience to the release of Biomutant did not prevent the title from capturing the first two lines in the weekly list of the best-selling Steam games. The previous leader of Days Gone went to the fifth place.
