Biomutant is doing badly. The game lost 82.6% of the audience by the end of the first week of sales. And the number of simultaneous players continues to decrease.

Biomutant was launched on May 25, 2021. It was successful. The game topped the weekly Steam bestseller list in its debut week. In addition, on the premiere day, the peak online role-playing action movie on Steam exceeded 55 thousand people. This allowed the game to take the 13th place in the top of the most popular platform games.

But by June 2, the online Biomutant was reduced almost sixfold — to 9.5 thousand players. This happened against the background of dissatisfaction with the game from users. The game was criticized for an unsuccessful combat system, a lifeless world, general repetitiveness of gameplay and a weak plot.

At the time of writing, the peak number of simultaneous players in Biomutant for June 3 was 6.4 thousand.

How the online Biomutant changed on Steam from May 25 to June 3

As noted in GitHyp, single projects always lose an audience quickly.

Usually in the second or third week online decreases by about 50% (provided that the passage of the game takes about 20 hours). In Biomutant, it fell by 55% two days after the release.

Recall that at the start of the game Experiment 101 received mostly mixed and negative reviews from critics. They were not satisfied with almost all the elements of Biomutant. Now the average score of the title on Metacritic is 68/100 for the Xbox version, 67/100 for PC and 63/100 for PlayStation.
