Guillemot: “We have at least two years until the new generation of consoles”

“Sony released the PlayStation 4 Pro a year ago, and Microsoft introduced the Xbox One X this month. I think we have at least two years left. But these are guesses at the level of perception, we do not have confidential data from the market,” said Guillemot.

Yves Guillemot said that he likes the “transitional models” of the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, because they push the limits of system limitations for game developers due to more powerful hardware.

Note that the console generations are updated about once every 5 years, although the previous generation in the face of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 lasted on the market for about 8 years: from 2005 to 2013.
