The other day, Fiksu presented the results of a large study on mobile engagement, and at the same time announced a new metric for tracking it – CPE.

The study revealed

  • Mobile CPM (price per thousand impressions) – at the price in second place from the end. The only thing cheaper than it is advertising on social networks.
  • Mobile CPC (cost per click) is 90% cheaper than desktop PPC (pay per click) campaigns.
  • Mobile CPE or simply CPEm (cost per engagement) is 10 times less than the cost per click in desktop systems.

What is CPEm measured in? This is the price of launching/IAP or registering in the app. According to Fiksu representatives, the new metric makes it possible to better evaluate and measure the ROI of mobile advertising.
