Paradox Interactive’s revenues in the first quarter of 2017 reached $93.3 million, an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year.
This is reported in the financial report of the Swedish company.
The profit of Paradox Interactive for the same period increased by 51% and amounted to $25.2 million.
The main sources of income were such titles as Cities: Skylines, Stellaris, Crusader Kings II, Hearts of Iron IV and Europa Universalis IV.
In February, the company reported 500 thousand copies of Hearts of Iron IV sold, and in March, Cities: Skylines overcame the sales milestone of 3.5 million copies.
Commenting on the results of the first quarter of 2017, Paradox Interactive CEO Frederick Wester noted several points in the company’s development strategy: expanding publishing activities, switching to digital distribution of games and focusing on the release of add-ons and other content for existing games.
Wester also mentioned the new Steel Division strategy: Normandy 44 from Eugen Systems studio, which will be published by Paradox Interactive. The game will be released on May 23.
