The Danish studio Io-Interactive will now be the sole beneficiary of the latest part of the Hitman stealth action.
This was announced by Io-Interactive manager Travis Barbour on Twitter.
The studio also announced that the opening episode of the first season of Hitman is now free to download.
It includes two story missions, 40 challenges, 17 achievements and other content.
Recall that in May of this year Square Enix was informed about the exclusion of Io-Interactive from the company. As reported, Square was negotiating the sale of IOI to other owners and even considered the option of liquidating the studio.
On June 16, the head of Io-Interactive, Hakan Abrak, officially announced that the company had bought the management rights from Square Enix and gained independence.
