In the first three months since the launch on iOS, fans of the main hit Epic Games spent $ 100 million in the game, analysts from Sensor Tower estimated. Only Clash Royale and Pokémon GO earned faster on iOS.

The multiplatform Battle royale from Epic Games was released on iOS on March 15 and reached the top of the charts in a couple of days. Despite the fact that for the first two weeks the iOS version of Fortnite was available only by invites, and it never entered the Chinese market, the title earned steadily: in the first month revenue amounted to $ 25 million, on the 45th day it reached $ 50 million.

According to Sensor Tower, Fortnite earned in the first 90 days almost three times more than Honor of Kings and 4.5 times more than another royal battle — Knives Out:

As for the rate of earnings, Honor of Kings and Knives Out at one time took twice as long to reach the same $100 million in revenue:

Fortnite is clearly more successful than its main competitor, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. PUBG was released on iOS a month later and, according to Sensor Tower, has earned only $5.2 million so far.

Analysts note that PUBG is trying to use the competitor’s findings in monetization methods. Fortnite earns mainly on cosmetic items and seasonal Battle Passes that allow players to swing faster and unlock unique assets. That is why the surge in Fortnite earnings coincided with the start of the fourth season of the game. A Royale Pass has just appeared in PUBG, acting in a similar way.

Recall that Fortninte is also available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, this summer Epic Games will launch an Android version.
