In August, Pokémon GO earned $110 million. It was the most profitable month for the title in the last three years.

According to Sensor Tower analysts, the game’s revenue grew by 44% year-on-year last month. It also increased by 76% compared to July.

The last time Pokémon GO earned big numbers was in the release year. In July, August and September 2016, its players spent $256 million, $195 million and $141 million, respectively.

Sensor Tower associates a sharp jump in revenue in August of this year with the latest update of the game. At the end of July, antagonists were added to Pokémon GO — the “R Team”, popular with fans of the franchise. This caused, among other things, a significant influx of new users into the game. The audience growth was 10% in annual terms.

Let’s add that the largest amount in Pokémon GO in August was spent by American players. They generated $44 million in revenue (that’s 40%). In second place is the homeland of “Pokemon”, Japan. The income from it amounted to $34 million (31%). At the same time, the average income per user of the game in the USA is $ 10, and in Japan — $ 45.
