The Russian-based gaming company Playrix now earns a billion dollars a year on mobile. This is without taking into account the revenue from advertising, exclusively from in—game micropayments.

A similar assessment was shared by the analytical company Apptica in its blog.

She also noted that 2019 as a whole turned out to be successful both for the company, which managed to launch two games (Wildscapes and Manor Matters), and for its founders, the Buchman brothers, who this spring were included in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily updated list of the 500 richest people in the world.

We would like to add that 2019 has become an active year for Playrix in terms of deals and acquisitions. In the summer, she invested in the Belarusian Vizor Games. A few months later, she announced the acquisition of the Ukrainian Zagrava Games. At the same time, it became known about the launch of Zefir Games in Barnaul.

The main revenue of Playrix now comes from four projects: Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Township and Fishdom. Each of them earns from ten million dollars a month. However, according to Sensor Tower, only two games are currently billionaires — Gardenscapes (total revenue of $1.4 billion) and Homescapes (total revenue of $1 billion).

The company’s last two projects — Wildscapes and Manor Matters — are separate stories.

At the same time, there is no point in talking about Manor Matters now at all. The game is in the softlonch. As for Wildscapes, Playrix is increasing its audience without haste. According to DataMagic, it is clearly visible that the publisher now rarely buys large volumes of traffic. However, after each purchase, the revenue of the game goes to a higher plateau.
