The expansion of Playrix continues. One of the most successful gaming companies in the world has announced the launch of a new studio. This time — in Minsk.
This was stated by the general manager of Playrix Anton Chernyagov in an interview Dev.by . According to him, the office will be launched in the capital of Belarus in the second half of 2020.
As far as we can understand from the conversation, the main team — several dozen people — has already been assembled and is working. The goal of the future office is to “increase comfort” and “simplify communication”.
In other words, Playrix has already entered the personnel market of Belarus. This confirms the appearance of the company as a resident of the High-Tech Park (HTP) of the country back in October of this year.
Chernyagov notes that local companies should not be afraid of the appearance of Playrix in Minsk. The developer is not going to further heat up the labor market. On the contrary, the authors of Homescapes consider themselves partly as a learning structure.
We have a separate focus on finding entry-level specialists and developing them within the company. We have already launched several internship programs and plan to scale these activities. Thus, our participation should not so much aggravate the situation as contribute to the development of the local market.

Playrix has recently become more active in terms of increasing the number of studio assets. In October, it became known about the purchase of the Ukrainian company Zagrava Games, as well as the transition “under the wing” of the gaming giant Barnaul Stargaze, which is now called Zefir Games.
