Two major players in the mobile advertising market – SponsorPay and HasOffers – announced yesterday that they are changing their names. SponsorPay will now be called Fyber, and HasOffers – Tune.

SponsorPay, according to the official version, went to rebranding due to the fact that the old name is associated only with the advertising grid, while at the moment it is already a full-fledged advertising platform that allows you to optimize campaigns, targeting, and so on.

The story with HasOffers is a little more confusing. Pete Hamilton, CEO of the company, told VentureBeat that users were confused by the presence of two large analytical products at once, HasOffers and MobileAppTracking, one of which was called the same as the parent company. For this reason, the latter was renamed Tune.

We also asked Anar Babayev, Head of the Marketing Department of the automated application promotion service, to comment on the rebranding of the companies AppInTop.com .

Anar BabayevIn short, the market is still too young, immature.

Business models die off in six months. Therefore, another name is needed, because the audience has already formed certain associations with the product. For example, HasOffers had a bad business model, they are changing it, but people continue to associate the company with its failures.
