The social network Facebook has given game publishers the opportunity to embed rewarded ads in titles posted on the platform.

For viewing such ads, users receive in-game bonuses, such as items or virtual currency.

According to a study by Unity, 78% of players are satisfied with this system. The ad display will be implemented on the Unity and Cocos2DX engines.

Facebook reported that viewing rewarded ads is “voluntary in 100% of cases.”

“Players like to get additional benefits in the game without having to wait or pay for them. Rewarded advertising is another step in creating tools that will help game developers succeed on and off Facebook,” the company’s representatives added.

Game publishers confirm the effectiveness of rewarded advertising. According to Mikhail Panov, project manager of Playrix studio, the placement of such ads through the Facebook Audience Network advertising system has improved the average prices per thousand impressions in priority countries by up to 80%.
