Google Corporation is expanding the functionality of the AdWords and AdMob advertising platforms. The new features will be useful for mobile game creators promoting their product on Google Play.

Video ads on Google PlayNow the developer can place video ads on the store page.
This option can be used by developers using Universal App Campaigns (UAC), a tool for promoting applications in various Google services (search, YouTube and others).
Similar audiencesA feature inside UAC that allows publishers to share user audience data of their games with Google.
This gives the advertising platform the opportunity to find gamers with similar gaming interests and promote the advertiser’s products to them. Beta testing of the feature will begin in May this year.
New mobile ad formatsIn the next few months, AdMob will introduce two new formats: playable advertising and interactive video advertising.
Updated beta of Open BiddingIn the new version, the aggregator of advertising auctions will be able to collect offers from advertising networks and play the placement of ads in the application on the terms of a single auction.
Open Bidding is already working with the offers of advertising platforms Smaato, Index Exchange and OpenX.
