The mascot of the largest European game publisher, Ubisoft, “ran” to mobile iOS devices in the recently released game Rayman Jungle Run.
Graphically, the game is almost no different from the Rayman Origin released on consoles. But this time we are not facing a platformer, but a colorful runner divided into levels. However, it was not without chips. As the game progresses, Reimen gets new abilities that he can use on a par with an ordinary jump. In addition, unlike ordinary runners a la Nyan Cat: Lost in Space, it feels like Rayman Jungle Run is still closer to big serious “console” games, and not tap entertainment for five minutes.
Rayman Jungle Run is based on the UbiArt engine, also used in the aforementioned Rayman Legend for the yet–to-be-released Wii U. The price of fun is $2.99 (for both iPhone and iPad).
In the American AppStore, the game about Reimen now occupies 4th place in the list of paid iPad apps and 29th place in the “highest–grossing”, in the Russian market, the game is in 2nd place in the top paid iPad apps and 15th place in the “box office”.
