There are only 1,421 gaming apps available for Windows 8 right now. This figure was announced at the London Games Conference 2012 by Andrew Webber, head of Microsoft’s marketing department.
While the Windows 8 Store has only one and a half thousand gaming applications, indie developers have a great opportunity to make themselves known. The search for the necessary application will not be difficult for the user, it will not confuse him in all its diversity, and any quality product will be able to shoot, Andrew Webber believes.
For example, out of these 1421 games available, only 13 applications can be classified as racing. Add a couple of features that distinguish your race from those already presented – and the game will be able to claim the recognition of users.
Also, in order to attract indie developers to its platform, Microsoft holds a number of contests. For Russian developers, the closest of them is the New Year in the Windows Store.
