The revenues of Russian operators from the sale of mobile content for the first quarter of 2012 increased significantly compared to the same period of 2011.
According to AC&M-Consulting, which was shared by the Vedomosti newspaper, revenue growth amounted to 42.5%, reaching the level of 16.86 billion rubles. Thus, the mobile content market in the first quarter brought the Russian operator more money than broadband wireless access.
However, we are not talking here about applications and games in the digital stores of the App Store and Google Play, but about the demand for services promoted by the “big three”. Including about mobile TV and probably java games.
Anyway, this is a very important trend, which indicates the maturation of the Russian mobile market, the willingness of our users to pay, including for applications developed for iOS and Android.
