The Google search company, together with Koreans from Samsung, will release a tablet with a 10.1-inch screen in the Nexus line.

Google decided to release its next tablet not with Asus, which is currently working on an improved version of the Nexus 7, but with its old partner, Samsung.

According to Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, the screen of the new device from Google will have more advanced characteristics than the display of the third-generation iPad. The resolution of the novelty will be an impressive 2560 by 1600 pixels with a diagonal of 10.1 inches. Thus, it will provide a pixel density of 299 dots per inch. The Apple tablet has a screen diagonal of 9.7 inches with a resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels – this gives a density of 264 dots per inch.

The new Nexus tablet will belong to the top segment, which will affect its price, predicts Shim. Other characteristics of the tablet and its expected price are still unknown.

Given recent reports that LG will be engaged in the third generation of smartphones under the Nexus brand, it is safe to say that Google has decided to finally diversify its “iron” business. And in this, it acts much smarter than Microsoft, rushing from one vendor to another.
